![]() But it's not like 7DTD doesn't have ♥♥♥♥ mechanics, especially after all the nerfs because they didn't like people running off to 0.0 on Day 1 at the hardest (then) settings like I used to do and make their game look easy.Īnd yet both games are fairly fun to play. ![]() the developers declaring this the final product after years of early access is a major disappointment. there's countless games that do open world crafting survival better, just pick one at random really.įrom a coding perspective there's a lot of things that could easily be tweaked to improve the game immensely. even playing with my friends couldn't save the experience for me and we quickly went back to 7daystodie. it's one of the worst games of its genre, if not one of the worst games i have ever played in over 20 years. I can't believe this game is a global top seller. you can never catch a break and just admire the view in this game, it's very min max and feels like work. to make matters worse, you're constantly having to make new tools since they break and can't be repaired. every moment i am doing something involving working towards restoring my hunger and thirst (which drain unrealistically fast) all while counting in my head the exact minutes until the next shark attack, who for some reason are psychic and follow you the entire game. Sadly I'm getting a bit annoyed over livestock despawning or disappearing but all I can do is to chug along and hope a fix comes soon, judging by other player reports. ![]() I've slowly built my raft the way I want it. At first I thought the game was shallow as well, even I wanted to refund it. The first few hours will be slow, almost every single survival game is that way, Subnautica the same. The start is a bit slow, but once you discover the receiver and explore beyond the standard islands, you'll notice that the game isn't so shallow, but you have to trigger the rest of the game. I myself disabled shark attacks on player because to me it makes no sense. Then you can pretend that the shark is simply curious and that's why it follows you, or remove it completely. The shark can also be disabled if you really want, also with 3rd party means. ![]() That can be done with 3rd party means by the way. If you were to set the game speed to 24 hour per 6 real life hours you'd notice a difference for sure. Well the food and drinking system makes sense for how short a day is compared to many other games. i could even buy fast food with the money and still have a more enjoyable experience. the developers declaring this the final product after years of early access is a major insult. it's one of the worst games of its genre, if not one of the worst games i have ever played in 20+ years. and that's an important distinction in game design. The game isn't too hard for me, it's just really annoying. For a game set in the ocean it's incredibly shallow.
